The 5 Beauty Trends You Need On Your Radar For Spring Summer 2021

Beauty has had a tough time finding its footing during the pandemic but when looking forward to the beacon of hope that is Spring 2021, it seems some fresh-from-the-runway beauty trends are just about ready to make their debut.
As there’s nothing too intense on the horizon, you can easily introduce yourself back to the makeup bag that has barely been touched for the past 12 months.
Expect faux freckles, barely-there skin and tons of blush, to define the perfect spring look for 2021.
Freckles @christinanadin

In a quest to make base makeup look as natural as ever, faux freckles are arguably the biggest beauty trend of the moment. Even if you are already blessed with freckles your foundation or tinted moisturizer may cover them up which is a big giveaway that you’ve got some makeup on. By using a freckle pen or just your eyebrow pencil you can subtly add some faux freckles for a youthful and sunkissed look.
Curtain bangs @matildadjerf

French girl hair, we find, is most easily achieved with the effortless and shaggy, curtain bangs. Without the scary commitment of a full-on fringe, curtain bangs are a great way to shape your face and nod to the ‘70s icon, Jane Birkin. You can go as long or short with them as you want to make them your own and remember they look just as great with hair down as they do when paired with a bun or pony.
Tons of blush @lirislaw

Thanks to TikTok and a Vogue tutorial by a certain Miss Beer, blush is officially back. Taking a backseat in recent years, it seems blush is finally becoming recognized as the ultimate go-to for a sunkissed glow. Sorry, bronzer. The trend this year is to put it basically everywhere, not just your cheeks. We’re talking lips, temples and your eyelids for a look that is both chicly monochromatic with a touch of sunburn.
Barely there skin @amy_sall

Following off from the faux freckles we mentioned earlier, ditching your full coverage foundation and opting for something a little lighter this Spring/Summer is the way forward. If this feels a little scary to you, remember you can always use a more industrial strength concealer on your problem areas. This way you’ll still have a coverage that makes you feel comfortable but overall a more natural finish.
Floating liner @jamilla.strand

When it comes to liner this season, we’re taking it up a notch, literally. Instead of placing your eyeliner right next to the lashline, try putting it closer to your crease instead. It feels totally retro and is a great way to make your eyes feel a little more interesting - especially when you’re wearing a mask.
You can just stick with the classic black but to make it feel more summer appropriate we’d go for an injection of colour.
